Description

Here's a great Gift Idea!    ~~~ 7 Inch Single ~~~   The Classic IV

Side A: Island of Paradise (2:20)

Side B: What Will I Do (2:25)

Note - This is not the Classics IV (plural), the Dennis Yost band that had all the 60's hits.

This is the Classic IV (singular), a doo-wop group from Penn and Magnolia streets in Germantown, Philadelphia managed by Artie Singer (of Danny & The Juniors Fame) formed in 1960 by Andy Petruzelli (Lead), John Delagol (1st Tenor), Al Buccini (2nd Tenor) and Bob Camardella (Bass). In late 1961 Artie recorded some demos, made a new label "Twist Records," and in 1962 released two of these songs (Island of Paradise/What Will I Do) under the group name of THE CLASSIC IV. They had local success with Island of Paradise. The group cut a few more singles with little success and finally disbanded in 1963.
