“Walking In The Park With Eloise”

U.S. 45 With Picture Sleeve

EMI 3977 – 1974

“Walking In The Park With Eloise” was written by James McCartney, Paul’s dad. It was recorded in Nashville in June and July, 1974. Paul and Chet Atkins were chatting about their fathers, when Paul suggested they record a song Paul's dad had written. The resulting single was credited to “The Country Hams”, who were Paul, Linda, Denny Laine, new Wings members Jimmy McCulloch and Geoff Britton, and Chet Atkins and Floyd Cramer. Paul played the washboard, something he learned in the Skiffle days in England. The record is never counted as one of Paul’s “official” releases. And because Paul was not credited on the record, it didn’t sell and was soon deleted.

This auction is for the U.S. EMI 45, “Walking In The Park With Eloise” backed with “Bridge On The River Suite” with it’s original Picture Sleeve. The Record is in Very Good+ condition, with some minimal scratching. The Picture Sleeve is in Very Good+ condition, with no writing, seam splits or ring wear, and just a bit of wrinkling at the edges.
