Please note that i do tend to use in and around the " Very Good / Near excellent Condition " grade for a lot of my records , although none are heavily scratched etc and most will just have some general light surface marks only . I never use a " Mint " or " Near Mint " grade . Everyone obviously has their own opinions as to what is very good and excellent , but in my case , i tend to think that most , if not all records do have marks to some degree ( lots even from new ! ) purely because they are vinyl and mark easy and have been used over a considerable amount of time in most cases . This is also why i do often go into more detail than most with my descriptions , as the term " Very Good " can be a bit vague . I do use the " Excellent Condition " grade , but in my case , i would class this as not played very much , excellent shine and just a handful of the very lightest whispy type hairlines only , most only being visible under a light , so you know that when i use excellent , i really do mean excellent and i do pride myself on this fact , i will say i can go a little OTT with noise and general condition and can often make a record sound bad when it really isn't , i do just try my best to say how it is , please don't forget though , that all records will obviously vary in sound quality etc on other set ups depending on the quality being used etc , but please do check out all of my feedback and you will see you can bid with confidence , thank you .

Please note, all records are packed in proper pro card mailers with a minimum of 3 stiffeners for LP’s and 2 for 7" singles ( more if i think they are needed ) . CD’s , Cassettes and DVD’s are sent in strong bubble wrap envelopes. These are also taped with brown parcel tape along all edges and seams for added protection.

The Cure A Forest 12" Single Orig UK PS 1980 Pro Cleaned Nice See Details . On UK Fiction Records FICSX 10 . B SIDE: Another Journey By Train . This was the first commercially released 12" single by the band . Always hard to find a decent copy of this one as you know , mainly due to the quite fragile cover and trying to find a record that hasn't been played to within an inch of it's life , but this one overall is a nice example and for once with a nice clean and strong cover . Please see all of the details below:

COVER: Factory single thin card cover generally in very nice shape and is a strong close to excellent condition , though i think a lot may say actually excellent overall , but i always prefer to undergrade . The front just has two or three small faint hairlines , a couple of extremely light and very small dents , there is just a very very light ring wear mark with just a small bit of very light rubbing near the top edge and a very faint bit from the label edges , actually most of the very light denting from the ring wear mark and very faint rubbing from the label section are only really more visible at certain angles to the light , there is just the tiniest lightest bit of rubbing on the odd corner tip end , mainly on the bottom right corner tip end , there is just some usual rubbing present on the edges , but more importantly and rarely seen these days ....... there are no seam splits ! . The rear just has a a very very light ring wear mark with just a tiny bit of rubbing , mainly near the top edge , very very light wear only on the top edges but there is a faint partial ink stamp mark on the inside of the front opening edge , possibly a company name ? , there are some very small bits of white seen in places on the outer edge , mainly of the left hand side flipback and a very very small crease curl on the very top of the same flipback , there are just the odd bit of very very light denting in places mainly on the upper section . ** This one really is a very nice and very clean example , i'd say easily up there with best ones available today , haven't seen one this clean and tidy for a very long time ** .

INNER SLEEVE: The record came with a solid ( not die cut ) plain off white with black print at the bottom on one side when i got it . It is generally in very good condition , there is some age related foxing / light yellowing present and a bit of light creasing and the odd soft thin dent line in places , there are the usual but light only ring wear marks , the top and bottom ends of the one flipback have become unglued , there are no seam splits and it is writing free . I will also put the record into a new plain white paper inner sleeve and then into a new plain white thick card outer sleeve for extra protection .

LABELS: Cream and black with red print paper labels generally in near excellent condition , still very nice and clean , being ultra picky , there is a very tiny , not far off near pin head size white spot mark between five and six o'clock on S1 label , but this really is very very tiny and may even just be a slight printing defect but obviously i can't be sure , there are just a few usual but light spindle marks , both labels are writing free .

RECORD: The overall visual grade of the playing surface under normal average household light conditions is a very very very strong very good condition , though i think that many would say quite a bit better overall , with just some extremely light and very fine mainly just whispy type hairlines ( the odd one being very very slightly more visible but still very very light and certainly non feelable and non sounding ) and sleeve removals , i say mainly as there is one extremely tiny near pin head sized spot mark approx half way through on S2 which does give off one tick , bar this there are no nasty gouges / nasty scratches whatsoever , i will also say that a lot of these finer hairlines are really only more visible when held at certain angles to or under a light . Please note that there maybe the odd tiny dust particle or tiny bit of fluff etc seen on the record in places in the photos off my wiping cloth due to static etc , i can't see them on the record at the time but they sometimes do show up when I take the close up photos , this is also because i do take the photos before i vacuum clean the record , thank you for your understanding . AUDIO A SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally very very light noise . It plays excellent , beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really next to nothing in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , all i heard was a very very light super super brief static " sch " type noise straight after the run in and the faintest briefest bit of static in a couple of places a bit further on on the quieter start before the music kicks in , but this bit was really very very faint indeed and really barely worth a mention at all , there was no nasty crackle and no nasty ticks whatsoever , there may just have been the odd one or two extremely faint isolated pops that i may have missed , but i don't think so . Silent run off has some usual but generally very very light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound fantastic and the audio tones are still awesome .

AUDIO B SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally very very light noise . It also plays pretty much excellent and i only say pretty much as there was one tick approx half way through as previously mentioned on the record description , this wasn't excessively loud in my opinion or deafening but none the less it can easily be heard , bar this it plays excellent , beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really nothing in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , really nothing else to report here , there was no nasty crackle and bar the already mentioned tick , no nasty ticks , there may just have been the odd extremely faint isolated pop that i may have missed , but i don't think so . Silent run off has some usual but generally very light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound fantastic overall and the audio tones are still awesome .

There were no jumps etc when tested on my deck and it still retains a very nice shine . Any noises tend to be in short bursts only , are over quickly , are not constant and do not spoil any enjoyment . If any noises are more frequent or louder etc , they will be described separately in the above detailed descriptions thank you .

All in all a very nice example of this now very collectable item together with super overall sound , do turn this one up and enjoy ! . Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality , despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch , some forms of noise will more than likely be heard in places especially on the quieter parts and the odd tick or pop may also be heard in places especially on the quieter parts , but none of this will overpower any of the music in any way , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Very Good / Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows no overly excessive play wear . There will be some light only surface marks though most will be just fine hairlines , there will be no major deterioration in sound quality at all though some amount of light noise / occasional light pop may be present in places especially on some of the quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , the record will play through perfectly , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail .
