Description
The Cure “A Forest”
1-sided 7” Acetate Disc
Strawberry Mastering Studios, London, England
1980
Holy Grail Rare!
With A Forest being released in April 1980, my guess is these discs were produced between January and March 1980.
Original 7” 1-sided acetate disc and as with acetates one of only about a handful made.
Strawberry Studios label with studio address and handwritten “The Cure” and “A Forest”
Label also has a small Library sticker on it - this was there when I got the disc
Strawberry Mastering and lacquer cutting studio in London, UK, opened around May 1978, closed 1983. Strawberry was one of the most expensive mastering studios in the UK, but also one of the most highly regarded.
Tracks
The Cure - A Forest
Condition
Disc is VG+/VG - the blank side has some blotting/wear in the center / see the last photo; I tried to capture this best I could
Sleeve VG with minor bending on two corners; the reverse/blank side is stained from the record
The Strawberry label on the song side is Excellent - no discoloring or scuff marks, very clean
There is a Library sticker on the label - it was there when I got the disc
Sorry about the glare on the photos - I tried to limit this as best I could
