Description

The Cure Killing An Arab Vinyl 7" First Single Press 1978 Picture Sleeve Small Wonder

Matrix / Runout (Hand-etched A side): SMALL 11-A1 STRAWBERRY TB

Matrix / Runout (Hand-etched B-side): SMALL 11-B1 STRAWBERRY TB

I believe from these etchings this is one of the first 5000 copies printed in 1978 (see photo of what I believe is the key “TB” etching).

Sleeve is in an extremely good condition with one mark on centre of face and a little wear around the edges. Vinyl has marks but the record still plays as well as it first did when I bought it in 1978 (for those who’ve bought off me before I’ve now got a turntable!).

Interesting info: The lyrics of "Killing An Arab" are inspired by a scene from the book "L'Etranger" (The Stranger) by Albert Camus - Emblinded by the desert light, Meursault takes a flask for a gun and kills mistakenly a Bedouin.
