For sale: superb quadruple live vinyl capturing The Cure in concert in Hartford in 1996, presented with excellent recording quality.
A powerful live document from the Wild Mood Swings era, showcasing the band’s ability to blend emotional depth, rock energy and melodic brightness on stage.
In 1996, The Cure were touring in support of the album Wild Mood Swings, a diverse and dynamic record.
During this period, the band delivered long and generous performances, mixing brand-new material with timeless classics.
The Hartford show stands as a strong example of this era, with a tight performance and a particularly well-captured live sound.
The setlist moves between newer tracks such as Want, Jupiter Crash, and Mint Car, alongside iconic songs like A Forest, Pictures of You, Just Like Heaven, and Boys Don’t Cry but also very rare songs such as A Strange Day, One Hundred Years, The Figurehead (from the 1982 Pornogrpahy album) but also ohter very good songs such as Prayers For Rain, Plainsong, Fascination Street (from the excellent 1989 Disintegration album) 👍
