The Cure: Pornography LP (FIXD 7)
Classic Cure album purchased by me back in the early eighties and it has been well looked after in my record collection ever since. Take the time to have a careful look through all the photos to see the condition of the record, sleeve and inner lyric sheet. The deadwax on the run outs is stamped with the matrix: FIXD 7 A3/B3 (see photo) which is the original UK pressing stamper. It sounds awesome and much better than the recent digitally pressed reissue vinyl and the remastered CD, I have both and I have compared them extensively.
I've have just cleaned it with my professional record cleaning machine with the award winning L'Art Du Son cleaning fluid so its now in the best possible condition and ready to be enjoyed by the next owner. I've also just test played it all the way through on both sides on my Project Debut Carbon turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Blue Stylus and it sounds awesome. It plays through beautifully with very minimal surface noise and absolutely no sticking, jumping or sticking. There is 4 light ticks on the intro to track one, side one and then barely a crackle all the way through even between tracks. A great copy still sounding excellent for its age.
I will post this out to the buyer in a proper cardboard LP mailer with stiffeners so no damage can come to it in transit. I will also post it free to UK buyers.
