The Cure Seventeen Seconds 1988 Vinyl LP SRC 9 60784-1 Reissue 1980
This is the 1988 reissue of The Cure - Seventeen Seconds on Elektra Records from 1980. Vinyl is in near flawless condition. Only one noticeable scuff as highlighted in my photos. The scuff in the runout looks to be an etching done pre press, but not certain. Listened to entire album. Plays great. No skips, hangs, warps, or repeats.
** Collectors Note: I did some research on this release, and did find a blog post that this was issued in 1988. I could not find any stand-alone US pressings prior to 1988, so I assume it is the first stand-alone pressing in the US. I also did find this on wiki regarding this release… “The record was repackaged in the US in 1981 (on the A&M label) with Faith as Happily Ever After, available as a double LP.” **
Record comes with original paper lyric sleeve in excellent condition. All 3 edges on sleeve have no splits, and are fully entact. Outer jacket has the original clear plastic shrink, and is in good condition. Plastic has a tear on top front, and some corner and open edge bump wear as shown in photos. This record has been stored in a record crate since the late 1980’s.

I use a ring light to highlight any noticeable scuffs or scratches in my vinyl auctions. Also helps to better highlight the runout etchings, which will indicate the exact version of the release.
I listen to all the albums prior to auction and will reference any jumps, skips, warps, repeats, etc. Or anything that will effect play in my listing. Will also always indicate any scratches that are deep enough to cause a noticeable click or pop sound.
I also don’t use any disc cleaning or disc washing system. So any residual dust or smudges have not been removed.
With that being said, I want to be as clear and honest to the exact condition of each listing, and depict any imperfections as well as I can with the ring light.
