Description
The DAVE Brubeck Quartet Time Out. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail. Dave Brubeck, a pioneer already in so many other fields, is really the first to explore the uncharted seas of compound time. True, some musicians before him experimented with jazz in waltz time, notablyBenny Carter and Max Roach. But Dave has gone further, finding still more exotic time signatures, and even laying one rhythm in counterpoint over another. The outcome of his experiments is this album, which was by far Dave Brubeck's largest selling album, and an album that changed forever how we view jazz
If you even have only a few jazz albums in your collection, this should be one of them. Selections here include Take Five, Blue Rondo A La Turk, Strange Meadow Lark, Three To Get Ready and others. Both the record and the cover are in near mint condition. (See photos).
