Description
Hi, great classic rock here by the Doors. Includes Break on through to the other side b/w End of the Night on Elektra Records (EK-45611).
Rare Original Pressing from 1966. Produced by Paul Rothchild & engineered by Bruce Botnick. One of the groups earliest releases, around the time Arthur Lee and LOVE were hitting the scene. Other Elektra artists include, Eclection, Judy Collins, Clear Light, Incredible String Band, Tim Buckley, Cosmic Sounds and Earth Opera
Condition of record: VG- to VG+ Has nice gloss, light marks on B-side-'End of the Night.' A-side is in better condition in looks. B-side w/ a few more lighter scratches & one small blemish.
'Break on Through' sounds great, crisp w/ a nice full sound, thus the VG+ grade. B-side sounds VG- for some reason. The sheen looks good but it sounds poppy and crackly throughout.
Vocals have slight distortion on ballad side when turned up on loud volumes. The A-side Sounds excellent with light background noise on intros & slight pops on quieter song parts heard at loud volumes on my Panasonic home system. The record as a whole sounds much better and has more unnoticeable sound ticks on my SL1200s with Ortofon dj needles. Comes with white sleeve.
Condition of label: VG+ Looks very good, clean on front and back, with minimal wear on each side. Colors still vibrant.
