A particularly clean original UK copy of The Damned – Another Great Record From The Damned, issued by Ace in 1981 on distinctive blue vinyl.
This compilation gathers together key material from the band’s early catalogue, making it an excellent snapshot of The Damned’s transition from the first wave of UK punk into darker new wave and gothic territory.
Of particular collector interest are the runouts, which carry the brilliant “A DAMNED GOOD PORKY PRIME CUT”inscription — identifying the mastering work of George “Porky” Peckham.
The coloured vinyl, strong condition and Porky mastering make this a much more appealing copy than an ordinary black-vinyl compilation.
Condition
Sleeve: VG++
The original sleeve presents extremely well with only very light signs of previous storage and handling.
The artwork remains clean and strong, with only minor age-related wear preventing a full EX grade.
Vinyl: VG++
The blue vinyl retains an excellent glossy finish with only very light signs of previous handling and play.
Any visible marks are minor and superficial, placing the record comfortably above a standard VG+ example and just short of EX.
Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition assessment.
