Description
This is the now famous very first punk single released in the UK, it was launched just before the Sex Pistols release. This is an original first issue which can be identified by the pushout centre, the later reissue had a solid centre. The runout on the A side has the following etched into it, Buy 6 - A1 u, "is this a record?" and also A BILBO BOPPA ! and on the B side is Buy 6 - B1 u, Damned Beatles ! and A BILBO - MASTER ROOM. You now know that this IS a very first issue of the single. The single is in really good condition, the only thing that stops it being excellent is there is a very light rub mark on the b side label under "Turn it up" and I am being extremely hard on myself here, see picture, The sleeve is really very good for 39 years old, there is some light fraying at the top and light yellowing with a very tiny fray tear approx 3mm but as you can see but there are no tears on the sides or bottom, there is a very small plain white sticker on the back left hand corner which may have been put on at the original store that sold this in 1976, it also has "Delga" printed on the reverse spine, how much more evidence do you need to prove it's the REAL thing. I am selling my record collection with some very rare punk singles so check my other items over the next day or two. I am starting the auction at 99p as I believe this will have many bids.
