Description

Time Out is a studio album by the American jazz quartet. It was released on the Columbia Records label in December 1959. The album is.widely recognized as a true standard in jazz recording. It’s noted for its pioneering use of unconventional time signatures and its subtle fusion of cool and west coast jazz influences. Time Out peaked at #2 on the Billboard Albums chart and became the first jazz album to sell one million copies. Its standout single “Take Five” was also the first jazz single to sell one million copies. By 2011 the album has been certified as Double Platinum by the RiAA denoting sales of two million copies. A legendary record for sure and must for any serious record collection. Nice 2-eye copy from ‘59 here.
