Description
This is a genuinely significant piece of UK punk history. The Desperate Bicycles formed in March 1977 specifically to write, record, and release this single independently — no label, no deal, just DIY. Their approach (and their famous exhortation “it was easy, it was cheap — go and do it!”) is widely credited as the spark that kicked off the entire UK DIY punk/cassette movement, inspiring countless other bands to self-release.

Written by Danny Wigley (vocals). Both tracks are cut on both sides of the disc.
This is the original Refill Records pressing — not the later bootleg. Confirmed by the runout etching: LYN-4317-IS MAX on both sides, matching the genuine 1977 release. B-side label is blank, back of sleeve is blank.
Sleeve condition is good given the age , record condition is very good.
This is possibly from John Peel’s collection as it was bought as part of a sale of his records, although it does not have his labelling on unlike some of the other records I bought in the collection.
