Elektra Records EKS-74007, Stereo LP, 1967.
Early U.S. 1967 pressing with the gold/tan Elektra “Big E” labels. This is the later-1967 label variation with “Alabama Song” credited to Weill-Brecht / Harms Co. ASCAP.
Runout markings include EKS-74007-A, EKS-74007-B1, AB, and AB 10-67, consistent with an Abbey Record Manufacturing pressing from approximately October 1967.
Includes the early cover with the RIAA Gold Record Award emblem on the front, along with the original period Elektra company inner sleeve.
Vinyl has been fully play-tested from beginning to end. Playback is very enjoyable overall and I would rate it approximately VG to VG+. There is some light background/surface noise, but it is generally not noticeable during the louder and more continuous music. The background noise is more noticeable during a few of the quieter passages on Side Two, particularly during the softer portions of “The End.” There were no major playback problems noted.
The record shows normal light surface wear consistent with its age. Labels remain attractive and clean overall.
Cover shows normal age-related edge, corner and surface wear as shown in the photos, but remains intact and very presentable for a 1967 copy.
Original Elektra company inner sleeve is included.
Features classic Doors tracks including “Break On Through,” “Light My Fire,” “The Crystal Ship,” “Alabama Song,” and “The End.”
