Highly collectible early U.S. pressing of The Doors’ legendary self-titled debut album, featuring the classic gold Elektra labels and pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co.

This copy has the desirable early Monarch identifiers in the dead wax, including the circled MR pressing mark and Delta 9991 / 9991-X numbers.

This is not the later common butterfly-label reissue. It is an early gold-label Monarch copy from the album’s original release era and is sought after by Doors and vintage rock collectors.

Vinyl – VG+ / Play-Tested:
This record has been fully listened to and sounds great. Playback is strong and clear with no major skips, jumps, or significant playback problems noted. Light surface noise may be present in quieter passages, as expected from a nearly 60-year-old original pressing, but the overall listening experience is excellent. Vinyl retains nice gloss with light surface hairlines/handling marks.

Cover – VG:
Original 1967 Gold Record Award jacket shows age-related shelf wear, rubbing, edge/corner wear, and general handling wear. The cover remains complete and presents well for its age.

This early gold-label Monarch pressing features the desirable circled MR stamp and Δ9991 / Δ9991-X dead-wax identifiers.
