Description
The Doors Elektra 6200 released in Argentina 1968.A rare chance to bid for a true Doors collectors album!.This is an extremely rare 'hybrid' compilation of tracks selected from the Doors 2nd and 3rd lp s Strange Days & Waiting For The Sun.It was released only in Argentina & Uruguay.See pictures for condition of sleeve and visual condition of the vinyl.As with all my vinyl I playtest the lp in its entirety on my vintage 1976 Sony PS17000 fitted with a Audio Technica VM 95 Micro Linear stylus and I will always report any problems so you can buy with total confidence.This stylus apart from sounding superb will always show up any minor or major flaws that could impact the listeners enjoyment.I have learned over the years that the visual condition of vinyl doesn't always reflect on how it will sound so I never use Record Collectors Guide Gradings as I feel this can be misleading..the sound is the most important thing after all.The sleeve is in pretty good condition with minor edge/corner wear,slight age /storage discoloration with a small faint signature of it's original owner Daniel Acerelli in faint red biro on the rear..again see pictures for more detail.Song titles on sleeve and label are in Spanish with English translation in brackets.There is also the owner's signature on the record label but it's not that visible.The record pressing/cut quality in common with some overseas vintage lps isn't 100% perfect.On this lp there are 4/5 distant 'rumbles' on the lead in groove to side 2 (People Are Strange) and there is a pressing dimple that cause distant rumble for 2 or 3 revs at the lead in to the last track Strange Days.Over the lp there is the odd scattered light tick here and there but nothing sustained. To my ears there isn't anything during playback to spoil my own or most importantly the next owners enjoyment. In summary it sounds fine for a 55 year old Mono lp that has been enjoyed but certainly not trashed.This lp doesn't come up very often for sale outside South America and its a very nice addition to a collection.As always any questions are more than welcome and I'll do my best to answer promptly.Thanks for dropping by and good luck 😊
