The Doors "The Doors" 1st LP in Mono on Elektra EKL-4007
This is an unusual copy of the Doors 1st album from 1967. It is a Mono pressing that came in a stereo cover, and has a Mono sticker over the word stereo. The company did this because they ran out of mono covers at the time it was pressed. ( I also have the opposite rarity in my collection, where it's a stereo record in a mono cover, with a stereo sticker). The cover also has the "Gold Record Award" printed on the cover. This is common on stereo covers, but very hard to find on mono covers. The covers is in VG condition, with no writing or seam splits, but over all cover wear and seam wear. The vinyl looks VG+ and it plays VG+. The a-side has one very tiny scratch, at the very end of "Light My Fire", that causes a few light pops. The labels are light brown, almost gold and near perfect. The record comes in an Elektra company inner sleeve.
The songs are : Break On Through, Soul Kitchen, The Crystal Ship, Twentieth Century Fox, Alabama Song, Light My Fire, Back Door Man, I Looked At You, End Of The Night, Take It As It Comes, and The End. There are no weak songs here. Everyone is classic early Doors and sounds best played loud. It's one of the best 1st albums in rock !

It will weigh 21 ounces when ready to ship. I will package this record between two pieces of 1/2 inch thick cardboard for maximum protection. And I will send it as soon as you pay (same day if before 2PM and next day if after 2PM).
