Description

The Doors L.A. Woman EKS-75011 Elektra 1971 Cut-Out Window 1st Press

This is the initial US release with rounded-corner cover with DOORS in embossed text.

The front has a cut-out window with clear acetate with the band photo printed in black half-tone.

The inner sleeve is in a yellow radius-corner liner, which provides background color to the cover window image when inserted.

The back side of the inner sleeve features a black-print 'crucifix' image.

Butterfly label on vinyl.

  • Artist(s): The Doors
  • Title: L.A. Woman
  • Record Grading: G
  • Cover (Sleeve) Grading: VG

Condition: Cover has some surface, edge, and corner wear. Record halo; not split. Yellow original sleeve. Vinyl has high sheen, shows minor wear, a few light shallow scratches. One area has a ripple in vinyl, most prominent near edge but does not impact sound. Labels and hole undamaged. Hand-cleaned; play-checked: Considerable static at or below level of music, with a few tics above music level. Abrasion static becomes less, near absent on L.A. Woman. Loud popping starting into side 2 track 1, continuing static. Skips on side 2 track 4 with lightest arm weight; plays through with slight increase in cartridge weight.

Shipping: Your record album will be shipped in a new shipping box sandwiched between cardboard inserts. Vinyl will be packaged outside of album cover if unsealed to prevent seam splits. I offer combined shipping and regular free shipping promotions. If the amount you are charged for shipping doesn't seem right, please ask me for an invoice before you pay.

International Buyers - Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. You may be charged additional fees when you receive your package. The actual value of the item will be placed on the customs form.

Grading Criteria:

  • (M) or (N) Mint, New, shiny, never played.
  • (NM) Near Mint. Like new, possibly played, no visible signs of wear or damage.
  • (EX) Excellent. May have light marks, played a few times, but low in surface noise or no surface noise.
  • (VG+) Very Good Plus. Has been played more times than (EX), has more marks and surface noise, doesn't skip.
  • (VG) Very Good. Has been played many times, may be more surface noise and slight popping, but shouldn't skip while playing.
  • (G) Good. Considerable wear with abrasions and scratching, but still playable.
