Description

NOTE: Shipping prices quoted are estimates. I will contact the buyer with shipping options and exact costs when the auction ends. Please do not pay for the item before receiving an invoice with the correct total amount.

Auctioning off my personal record collection.
I am a private collector, not a dealer. As a (former) buyer I was VERY fussy about the condition of the records I purchased, and remember too well the disappointment of receiving a record that didn't match my expectations -- not to mention the seller's description. In the hopes of sparing the buyer this disappointment, the records I list will be described in detail, with any flaws and imperfections clearly pointed out and shown in photos.

The record:
The Doors / L.A. Woman Original 1971 U.S. pressing on Elektra EKS-75011 Record stored in VRP discwasher rice paper sleeve Includes original yellow inner sleeve This is a great hi-fi recording
Condition:  Vinyl: Faint wispy sleeve removal hairlines and wisps visible under strong direct light (see photos, but don't be alarmed by their appearance: the lighting and angles have been set up expressly to emphasize them). As always, these do not affect playing at all and are cosmetic and superficial. The vinyl is a little dusty and requires cleaning to play more quietly. The Artisan logo is stamped into the run-off groove (see photo). Overall grade a strong EX or an EX+. Labels: A few faint spindle marks are visible. A little wear on the perimeter of Side 2 label. Cover: Very minor wear on the opening edge. A few light creases on the back. A small dent on the front.  Overall a strong EX bordering on EX+.

Shipping:
1. The record is located in Israel. 2. Shipping prices quoted are rough estimates. Calculating Israel Post shipping costs is a nightmare, as prices vary both by weight and by destination country, so I cannot know the exact cost before learning the high bidder's address. I will contact the buyer with shipping options (which also vary by country) and prices after the auction ends. 3. I obviously cannot and will not be held responsible if your package is lost in the mail and was shipped unregistered/uninsured/untracked. Shipping from Israel IS relatively cheap - take advantage of that and insure or register your package. 4. The record will be shipped in a used LP mailer box that I've been keeping since the time I was buying records myself. This saves you money. The box is in good condition and WILL protect your record in transit. 5. No "packing", "handling" or other silly fees will be charged.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
Good luck and happy bidding!

On May-08-15 at 00:40:15 PDT, seller added the following information:

Shipping prices:
U.S. buyers have the following shipping options:

1. Registered airmail: up to 14 business days, insured up to $40, no tracking -- $11
2. EcoPost: 5-7 business days, insured up to $50, limited tracking (5 "events" are tracked) -- $12.10
3. EMS: 2-3 business days, insured up to $50 ($1.25 for additional insurance up to $200), tracking -- $27.50/$28.75

EcoPost is a relatively new offering by the Israeli Post. There's obviously a pricing anomaly since it costs about the same as the inferior registered air mail service, but - anomaly or not - EcoPost obviously offers the best value here.
Other countries: Buyers from other countries can use the above prices as estimates. EcoPost is only available when shipping to Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K., or U.S.
