Description
Here’s a copy of LA Woman, the 1971 album from The Doors.
According to Discogs, this is Variant 2 of the 1971 Santa Maria pressing, identified by the Matrix/Runout that reads: EKS-75011 A-1 CSM [Artisan logo]
This album features: the 2-color burgundy & black sleeve with radius corners and embossed "Doors" text . It also has a cut-out window with clear acetate, on which the band photo is printed The record is in a yellow radius corner liner, the back of which has a 'crucifix' image.
This record also has the 'Columbus Circle' address on sleeve back, inner sleeve, and LP label. Lastly, it does not have the Warner Bros 'W' imprint on the 'butterfly' labels.
Now…the condition. I hate grading records, because everyone has different ideas of what constitutes what, so please use the images as a guide. Using Discogs’ grading, I would grade the sleeve as Very Good to Very Good+. The color is strong, and there’s minimal creasing, dings, or rub. The edges have wear, but I don’t consider it too bad.
The inner sleeve is Good+ to Very Good, with some wear, and a bit of splitting along the bottom. I showed the extent of it in a photo.
The vinyl is Good to Good +. There’s noticeable wear and scuffing on the vinyl. I played it, and there were no skips, but there is some surface noise. It wasn’t distracting on my player. Again: see the photos.
