Hello there, come on in and welcome to the auction!

As you can see from my 100% feedback, I sell with complete honesty and reliability.  Above all things I am a record collector and music lover.  I only sell records that I would want to receive. I know well the disappointment of receiving an over-graded record that turns up two weeks late.  That is not the service you will receive here, so bid with total confidence. I don’t sell a lot of records because I spend a lot of time carefully finding, grading and listing them and do not like to rush this process, as many sellers must do to be able to sell 100 records a week!

I am mostly a collector of old time music, pre-war blues and folk, so buy job-lots that often contain rare records that aren’t to my taste so to ebay they go!

Here we have a very 1st USA pressing of The Doors self-titled masterpiece!

This is the very 1st with the unlaminated heavy card sleeve which bears the original “1855 Broadway” Elektra address on the rear.

Only the very first presses of this monster record had golden tan Elektra labels with Stereo on the left AND right of the label, not all piled to the right side!

The package is fully complete with the orange Elektra inner!

This is undeniably the best way to listen to this 1st press USA rarity!

Sleeve Condition.

The original unlaminated outer is in superb condition with no writing, splits or major damage to mention. Just some very very mild storage wear and some ringwear and that’s it.  The colours are still vibrant and fresh and the spine is straight and perfectly readable with no wear! A stunner!

Label Condition.

The 1st press labels are in great condition.  There are no rips, rubbing, writing or stains to mention.  Side 1 is nr mint but side 2 has some mild bobbling and a light sticker graze.  Under a strong light only a few minor spindles can be seen. Really nice!

Inner Condition.

The original orange and white USA pressed Elektra inner sleeve is in lovely condition with no stains, rips or writing at all.  There are no splits at all and it hold the vinyl perfectly as it should! Splendid!

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The record looks stunningly great for its 45 year age! It has that “just pressed” look with no dulling, scratches or warping of any sort!  It still retains its factory shine and lustre.  Even under a strong halogen only a few light hairlines can be seen and none that cause audio playback issues! A real stunner

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounds superb!  There are no jumps, skips or nasty distortion at all! I didn’t hear a single loud click or pop, even at full volume!  It’s a crystal, sharp and bouncy sound throughout!  There was a little static on the first run ins but none that ran into the music.  Break on through just jumps off the record, it’s amazing!  Alabama Song has never sounded more twisted and sharp.  This is how this record should be heard, in its original USA stereo 1st press format!  I haven’t heard well!

So there we have it.  One of the rarest and earliest USA 1st press examples of the uber-rare Doors masterpiece that you will ever come across! Sublime!
