Description
Up for sale The Doors Vinyl Box Numbered Edition (#19/12500!) released back in 2008 and ordered online from Thedoors.com. The “leather” grey box is in mint condition. It includes 7 albums (the first 6 + the self titled in mono version) . Also included is a 2 part sheet where the process of manufacturing and technical details of the records are explained by Doors long time producer/sound engineer Bruce Botnick.
Please read carefully:
Back in 2008 The Doors started selling this vinyl box set with manufacturing issues. This is one of them. However, the issues were not present immediately. Something I understand related to the lacquer of the records created over time dry patches on most sides that were only present years later. Back then I used to travel a lot and only really realised about it years later. Too late to ask for a refund. They also glued poorly the glued cardboard albums. Thus, I took care of that as well (look at the pics). What this means is:
- This vinyl box will have sound issues throughout the albums (when the needle passes by a dry patch it can be heard). Besides, there are some scratches on the album LA Woman. The rest seem to be perfect (minus the already mentioned manufacturing issue).
I am selling everything at a very low price more aiming at a buyer who wants to have a beautiful and otherwise impossible to find Doors vinyl box with the extras of having every album/inner sleeve exactly as they came new. Nothing is missing here. Thanks for looking.
