These are the vinyl grading guidelines for shakedownrecords

Vinyl Grade

MINT (M): Perfect : This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws what so ever. It looks as though it had never been handled. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains.

NEAR MINT (NM)  : This record appears virtually flawless , very minor scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw is very hard to see.

EXCELLENT (EX)  : Minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs.It should play without any noise over the flaw.

VERY GOOD  (VG) : Record shows wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. The flaws may cause some surface noise,

Sleeve Grade

Mint Cover - No stickers address labels, writing on the covers or labels. No tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover. Age of the record has nothing to do with it.

Near Mint - The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age.

Excellent - Artwork is still as close to perfect as can be. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye.

VG - The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover usually gives away the age of the cover. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes popping through.

UK P&P costs

I recommend INSURANCE and will quote on individual parcels upon request. I always obtain proof of postage but should any problem arise we all know that Royal mail or any country postal service will do their best not to take responsibility, so once again, please consider to spend a bit more for postage in order to avoid any problem just in case.

Any damage or loss is the buyer's responsibility if insurance is not taken. I can't be held responsible for non-insured items lost in the post, but we will happily forward proof of postage should you need to make a claim.

For UK service I always include the Standard and Recorded option in my Postage listings. Please feel free to choose the most suitable one. 

UK Special Delivery - Any order valued over £46 will be sent fully insured using Royal Mail Special Delivery and the total cost of this will be £7.50.  Multiple-item orders weighing more than 1kg or items valued over £500 will cost slightly more to insure, so please wait for my invoice before paying.

Overseas orders

Postage on my listings is for Standard airmail service which does not include insurance.

Once again, I recommend to insure your parcel. Royal mail declines responsibility once the parcel has left the UK unless is insured, therefore I would strongly suggest considering it.  

Prices for insured parcels would be as follows:

Europe

First LP or 12" = £9.00

Rest of the world (anywhere outside Europe)

First LP or 12" = £12.00 each additional LP or 12" add £3.50.

Overseas orders weighing more than 2kg or valued over £500 may be split into two or more packages as appropriate so they can be sent using Royal Mail's Small Packet Rate, so please wait for my invoice on larger multiple purchases.
