On Record Store Day 2014 there was already an out of print new vinyl edition (on red vinyl and numbered) of the long out of print 'Best Of' album Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine, now the legendary compilation is finally being released on vinyl for the first time.

Released in 1972, the legendary double album was the first DOORS compilation after Jim Morrison's death in 1971. The 22 songs on the album offer a comprehensive introduction to the music of one of the most important rock bands. All recordings were made between 1967 and 1971 with the original cast: John Densmore, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek and Jim Morrison. The long-time sound engineer of the DOORS, Bruce Botnik, has now remastered the original material of the compilation, which owes its title to a line from the song The End.

Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine is a successful mix of world-famous hits and insider collector's items from Allen six DOORS albums, from Break On Through, Love Her Madly and LA Woman to unexpected surprise highlights such as The Spy by Morrison Hotel and Running Blue from The Soft Parade.
