Description
Here is your opportunity to own the L.A. Woman album from The Doors. This was the sixth studio album from The Doors and also the final album to include Jim Morrison as lead vocalist. Jim was actually found deceased in Paris prior to the album's release in the states. The contributions and influence from Morrison shine through on this album. This album is The Doors at their bluesiest best. Some critics and fans claim this is The Doors best album. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked L.A. Woman number 364 out of the top 500 albums of all time. If you have never heard this album, you owe to yourself to hear it on vinyl. This album is one of my all time favorites and I highly recommend it. This LP is the 1st U.S. stereo pressing on Columbia from 1971. This particular LP has EKS-75011 A CTH T as the matrix number etched in the dead wax, on side one. Side two of the LP has EKS-75011 B-2 CTH T etched on the dead wax. Both sides of the dead wax also have the artisan stamper on them. The stamper is two drumsticks over a drum. Artisan mastered some of the best albums of the early 1970's in L.A. The vinyl visually is in Very Good Plus/Very Good Condition. The LP has many light hairline scratches and a few light paper scuffs on each side. The blemishes have little affect on the playback quality. The sound quality on the playback is Very Good Plus. The LP labels have a couple of spindle marks on each side. This album also includes the original yellow custom crucifix inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is in great shape. The LP cover is in Very Good condition. The cover has some ring wear on the front and back of the cover. The ring wear is more noticeable on the front of the cover. The seams and spine all have a fair amount of wear. The top and bottom seams have a little wear with a fair amount of color loss, on the bottom seam. The spine also has a good amount of wear. Woman in the title L.A. Woman is missing completely. There is also a wear line at the bottom of Elektra that runs into the E. The spine is otherwise legible. The LP opening has a couple of crease lines and so does the bottom right corner of the die cut window. The back of the cover has a crease in the center and also a crease on the bottom right corner. I have taken pictures to illustrate all of the flaws. This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve. The album will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve. The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts. The LP will be positioned outside of the jacket when shipped. This album is ready for playing or storage. Please let me know if you have any questions. I do not ship outside of the United States. I can combine shipping for multiple auction wins. Please bid with confidence.
