The Easybeats – Friday On My Mind
United Artists UAS 6588 – Original Stereo Pressing

Offered here is a very nice original copy of Friday On My Mind by The Easybeats on United Artists Records (UAS 6588). This classic 1967 beat/garage-rock LP features VG+ vinyl that plays with no skips and sounds great, along with a vibrant VG+ cover and the original sleeve included.

About the Release

Released in May 1967, Friday On My Mind was the first North American album by Australian rock group The Easybeats and followed the worldwide success of the title track, one of the defining singles of the era. Produced by Shel Talmy, the album captures the band’s energetic blend of beat music, garage rock, and pop, and helped establish them as one of the most important Australian groups to break internationally during the 1960s.

For collectors, original United Artists UAS 6588 pressings remain especially appealing because they capture the band’s key U.S. release in its original stereo format with period-correct labels, packaging, and early matrix details. The 1A / 1A style runout information listed here is the kind of detail collectors look for when identifying earlier pressings, and clean original copies with vibrant covers are increasingly harder to find. Because “Friday On My Mind” became one of the defining international singles of the 1960s, original album pressings tied to that era continue to attract strong interest from collectors of British Invasion, beat, and garage-rock vinyl. The original sleeve and strong overall presentation add even more appeal to this copy.
