The Effigies - Bodybag - 7" - ORIGINAL Chicago Punk - 1982 - kbd
Classic punk from Chicago's almighty Effigies. Cover is in good shape with a
killer illustration by Chicago artist Mike Saenz, of Virtual Valerie fame, which
was featured on an episode of HBO's "Real Sex." The cover sleeve has very little
wear but has seam separations -- not seam splits -- on both sides. On the right-hand
side the separation extends for the top 20% of the seam, but on the left-hand side
the seam is separated from top to bottom. Check the pictures. On the positive side,
it makes it easier to see the band's message to Jello Biafra. This, plus an insert based
on material from the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Committee Against Racism is
part of an old, old feud between The Effigies and the Maximum Rock 'n Roll scene
from Berkeley, California. During an interview with that magazine, John Kezdy of
The Effigies voiced his right-wing political views and the battle was on. ;D
The vinyl is in very good shape and plays quite well. Check the audio clips. Labels
are also in very good shape. Original 1982 release on Ruthless Records, number RR1.

with 12-inch or 7-inch cardboard inserts on each side of the record for added strength.
Records without inner sleeves are provided with new ones so the vinyl can be laid on top
of the outer sleeve to avoid seam splits during transit.
