The Ethiopians Engine 54 - Wirl 1053 Stereo LP Rock Steady Reggae Jamaica 1968
Classic rocksteady album debut recorded with Tommy McCook and the Supersonics , feat. an updated version of Lee Perry's 'Train to Ska-Ville'.
Very rare LP in any shape. This one is a keeper copy. Most Reggae LPs from this era are trashed. This one is in amazing shape. Few if any hairlines. Play tested on high end unit sounds great. Cover has edge one at one end but not split. A very nice looking cover.
This LP clearly states Stereo and marked as WL 1053 . White Label , deep groove Jamaican Pressing. It has the "WIRL" catalogue number (WIRL 1053) printed on the rear sleeve. There is a "Stereo" printed on the front sleeve. The sleeve has the "Manufactured and Distributed by West Indies Records Ltd., 13 Bell Road, Kingston 11, Jamaica W.1." text printed along the bottom of the rear sleeve. There is also the "Printed by United Printers" text, in smaller print, at the bottom of the rear sleeve too.
