Excellent hard to find 45 by The Factory. Songs are: "Smile Let Your Life Begin" b/w "When I Was A Apple". Original U.S. promo on Uni Records #55005 from 1967. Band featured Lowell George, also included future Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward, Martin Kibbee (a.k.a. Fred Martin) who would later co-write several Little Feat songs with George (including "Dixie Chicken" and "Rock and Roll Doctor"), and Warren Klein on Guitar. The band made an appearance on the 1960s sitcom F Troop as "The Bedbugs". They were also featured in an episode of Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C.  They appeared in the scene inside the A-Go-Go club, with their music heard playing loudly. They received credits at the end of the episode as "'The Factory' Lowell-Warren-Martin-Rich, Courtesy of Universal Records". Following the disbanding of The Factory, George briefly joined The Standells and in 1968 joined Frank Zappa's Mothers Of Invention.

Condition is nice strong VG++ (Excellent) few very fine light surface/sleeve marks/very light scuff, nice glossy luster vinyl. Labels clean and free of any writing or stickers. Plays great

Grading Scale:

10: Mint Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint.

9: Mint- Very clean, only a few light marks. A great record.

8: Excellent (VG++) Condition between 7 and 9.

7: VG+ Used, but not abused. Light scratches only. Should play, and look very nice with minimal surface noise.

6: VG Still a nice record. Looks a bit used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise.

5: VG- A bit rough but will play ok. Fills the collection.

4: G Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!!

3-2-1: It only goes down from here.
