Live at the Witch Trials LP
Step-Forward Records SFLP 1 (1978)
(Ex+/Ex+) The sleeve and record are in lovely condition. The sleeve is in perfect condition apart from some minor creasing and yellowing to the edges, and some edge wear on the spine. The labels are crisp and new, with just some light spindle-marks. The record is perfect apart from a few (I found three) hairline marks, and some light paper scuffs, that shouldn’t have any effect on sound quality (I just tested several sections and couldn't hear any noise from the marks). It is just a shade off NM.
This is The Fall’s blistering debut album, on which Mark E. Smith ranged over what were to become subjects he would return to many times: the music industry, ghouls, drugs and people he didn’t like. So punk but so not punk at the same time. An essential album.
This copy is the 1985 reissue on the original label, which is virtually identical with the original pressing except for the small text ‘Made in France’ at the bottom of the labels. It has the stamped runouts Δ85/2 SFLP 1 A1 / Δ85/2 SFLP 1 B1.
The record will be cleaned carefully on a Knosti Disco Anti-Stat record cleaning machine before dispatch. Please let me know as early as possible if you don’t want it to be cleaned.
