Description

The Fall: Palace of Swords Reversed LP, vinyl, Cog Sinister Ltd, 1987
The Fall were an English post-punk group, formed in 1976 in Prestwich, Greater Manchester. They underwent many line-up changes, with vocalist and founder Mark E. Smith as the only constant member. The Fall's long-term musicians included drummers Paul Hanley, Simon Wolstencroft and Karl Burns; guitarists Craig Scanlon and Brix Smith; and bassists Marc Riley, Steve Hanley.
By far the best place to begin with the Fall, Palace Of Swords Reversed is a collection of tracks from the period--1980 to 1983--commonly regarded as their most wildly original and (artistically) successful.   "It was once remarked that arguing with Lenin was like 'being hit round the head with a shovel'. Palace Of Swords Reversed creates the same effect, and can be returned to endlessly, both for its plain brilliance and for its ability to whack you into shape, infect you for the better with its brusque, diseased intelligence."

This record has been kept in storage in a smoke free household. It is from a large record collection, not a DJ collection, this record has never been DJed and is in good condition.
On Side 1, there are wee crackles before the pink press threat! With track 2, 'Elastic Man' there is a little crackle, around 55 seconds. There is a crackle between tracks 4 and 5. Finally in the ascending intro of 'Older Lover', track 6, there are a few little crackles.
Turn it over to Side 2, there are slight crackles before he is working again. There are crackles between tracks 1 and 2. Around 1.12 minutes into track 2, 'Marquis' there is a crackle. Then there are wee crackles between tracks 2 and 3. Right at the end of 'Neighbourhood', track 3 there is a crackle. Finally between tracks 5 and 6, again wee crackles.
There is slight foxing and wear to the outside spine of the record sleeve, from being in storage (see pictures).
