Description
The ORIGINAL and EXTREMELY RARE 1966 UK 7" single by the wonderful GTO's "She Rides With Me"
Side 2 is "Rudy Vadoo"
on the Polydor record label 56721
Matrix numbers : Side 1 - 56721 A 1, Side 2 - 56721 B 1
Not to be confused with the later Frank Zappa spawned GTO's, this is the original GTO's who sung a selection of Soul/Pop/early Disco compositions; indeed "She Rides With Me" was co-written by Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and this has a genuine Beach Boy feel to it!
The overall condition of this record is, at best, GOOD only. There are many scuffs and light (surface only) scratches on both sides of the vinyl and each label is "tatty", with a number of blemishes (see photos), and the initials "JS" are written on the B-side label. That's not to say that the record is not playable...it certainly is, and pleasurable to listen to with no loud clicks or jumps. The sound quality has, however, significantly deteriorated over time and does suffer from some background "fuzz"; so if if you're bidding with the intention of purchasing a record purely for it's sound quality then don't! If, however, you're bidding with the intention of winning a true piece of 1960's pop history then this trophy item may be for you. It comes with the original Polydor outer sleeve.
A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 40 years and have a huge collection. A combination of space requirements and a need to help fund my retirement has prompted me to "rationalise" my record collection and sell some of my much loved gems. My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I'll sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item, by the way. Richard
