Description
This one sided 45 stamper of The Darkest Night (the flip side of One Woman Man) by The Gems, contains an alternate beginning which was never issued. This version begins with a drum and cymbal intro. For the unschooled, stampers are the metal plates used for pressing records. The plates contains the actual music. Once utilized, they are usually discarded. The stamper has no wear on the playing surface, and still has its original gloss. The disc is in near mint condition. It also comes in the original pressing plant sleeve which has printed and hand written notations (most likely by Paul King, co-owner of Drexel Records). The sleeve has wear, but still in good condition. The stamper is Rare and is/may be the only surviving 45 metal disc containing this unreleased intro.
