Description
I inherited this fantastic Lp from my dad who was a radio dj for over 50 years. There are some penned notes on the back cover he made for which cuts he was deciding to play on the air. The vinyl plays fine. It has general light wear, a few small light scuffs and some short, light hairlines. There is surface noise throughout but not enough to make this anything but a very listenable, enjoyable Lp! There are a couple of light spindle marks, pretty hard to see. The front cover presents very well, with the shiny lamination in good shape. The bottom corners have bumps and some wear, and the top corners have some wear but no creases. The edges are in great shape. The bottom edge has a 1 inch beginning of a split/wear near the slot. The spine is in great shape, with just a tiny chip at the middle. Please see all pics!
According to discogs, the first issue of this Lp has the dark version of the front cover, like this copy, but also indicates this can't be a 1st issue since "A Hi-Fi Recording" appears in small print on the center of the labels. Regardless, it seems this is an early 1955 pressing. Record will be shipped in proper Lp mailer with stiffeners, poly sleeve for the vinyl and corner protection.
