MAJESTIC RECORDS PRESENTS
"I HAVE A FRIEND" by The Haynes Trio Trio and Rev. Haynes and Guitarists. The title selection for this album "I Have A Friend" was written and previously recorded by Rev. J. T. Davis of Pikeville, Tennessee. We feel sure that you will enjoy this arrangement. This is the second album that THE HAYNES TRIO has recorded. The first album, "The Gospel in Song" has been a tremendous success, and is still growing in popularity, thanks to the many friends who love and appreciate gospel music. Bob and Carol Champion and Jean Nunley. Members of The Haynes Trio consist of sisters Alma Stiefel, lead singer; Betty Layne, tenor; and niece Carlene Eldridge, alto. To add a little extra touch to this album is the deep and mellow bass voice of Rev. Paul Haynes, brother of Betty and Alma, as he sings with the trio in the selections, "When I Looked Up and He Looked Down" and "What A Friend." Another interesting feature is the solo, "The Day of Wrath," by Jean Nunley, pianist for the group. The Haynes Trio has that perfect balance of sound and harmony that is pleasing to hear and also humbly carries the message of Jesus Christ. It is indeed a pleasure to recommend this trio for gospel singing in concerts, revivals, and special services. As a member of this family, both physically and spiritually, I know them to be dedicated to the Lord in their work. Nothing pleases them more than knowing their God-given talent of singing causes you to rejoice. I know when you hear this album you will be blessed beyond words. May God's richest blessings be upon you as you listen to them sing, as He blesses them in singing. JAMES E. HAYNES Marion, Kentucky ACCOMPANIMENT: Bruce E. Tate, steel guitar; Joel Dishroom, lead guitar; Pascal Sissom, Jr., bass guitar; Jean Nunley, piano; Bob Champion, saxophone; Carol Champion, organ.
