Description
This is an amazing record by Etta James, titled "The Heart And Soul Of Etta James" and released in 1982 under Arrival Records. The vinyl is in high-fidelity and has been autographed by the artist herself. The record features a cardboard sleeve and is in 33 RPM speed in stereo. The album is in black vinyl and has been graded as Very Good (VG) for the record and Good Plus (G+) for the sleeve. It is a first pressing edition and has a catalogue number of AN 8121. This record is perfect for any occasion and is a must-have for soul and gospel music lovers, and Etta James Collectors.
I have visually and audibly evaluated the record and cover. I have graded the record as Very Good. Visually it appears (VG+), but audibly there are a few light scuffs and scratches on both sides of the record that can be heard on playback. The record plays through on both sides without skipping, and has many good quality plays left in it. The exciting part of this album is Etta's note on the reverse side of the cover with her autograph. In reading Etta's words it's clear that the album was autographed for a close friend. I have compared the signature on the album with comparison's on the internet and feel certain it's authentic.
I love Etta, but prefer her blues and soul music over the gospel tracks, so I'm putting this album up for bids instead of keeping it. Funny that Etta offers an apology for all the gospel tracks to the person it's signed for. Claiming it was beyond her control. This album is definitely for an Etta James Collector. A new anti-static inner and poly outer sleeve will be included to protect this fine collectors piece!!!
