One of the rarest soul Lp's of the 60's on a mayor label! This one is special, as it's an unplayed promo copy from a collector who didn't care for soul and never bothered to even listen! The record shows no wear, no spindling, no scuff, nothing! The jacket, which is normally quite worn in other auctions I've seen, has very little wear either. The front is nearly perfect with vibrant colors that haven't really even seen the light of day. There is one small mark on the left bottom quarter of the sleeve which looks like a factory printing error and not any mark caused by use or damage. The rear shows a little bit of rub as it's the more porous matte paper they used on the rear slicks, also has a slightly faded rubber stamp promo mark, and there is one small area near the opening that must have been exposed most of its' life as it is a little bit more yellowed than the rest, obviously having been exposed with the rest of the back of the sleeve covered to contrast the difference in the slight yellowing of this area… still mind-blowing how clean this example is. The seams are nearly perfect and show no perforations, no scuffs even. Even the inner sleeve is darn near perfect aside from some age yellowing.

If you're looking for the HOT STAMPER version of this LP to archive, this is the one. White label promo copies were made at the top of the press run, and likely this LP had only ONE run, at the end of which the stampers were likely much much worse off than this early example. This is the one!
I have archived BOTH sides with no filtration, dead wax to dead wax as I want you, the buyer, to know what to expect when I state MINT-… Goodness only knows when another copy like this will surface with this sound and condition… good enough to use for a CD compilation?? I think so! I don't have a vacuum, so I couldn't give this the thorough cleaning it may need, so you will have better results than the audio below, assuredly, as I gave it a quick once over.
