The Hollies - Evolution - 1967 U.K. Parlophone Mono PMC 7022 Vinyl LP
Matrices: XEX 635-1 / XEX 636-1.
The LP shows signs of having been played a great deal and has numerous surface marks (see sample images).
It has been play tested (on a Rega P8 w. Dynavector 20x2 MC cart) and playback has light surface noise but this is not overpowering; no skips or jumps.
Therefore, aurally graded as Very Good in line with the following Goldmine standard:
“Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.”
The flip back laminated sleeve is in great condition for its age with some creasing in the laminate and discolouration along the opening flap; no rips or tears.
The sleeve is graded as Very Good Plus in line with the following Goldmine standard:
“An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner.”
NB prior to listing, the LP has been cleaned on an Okki Nokki RCM with L'Art du Son fluid.
