Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Excellent Minus (Supremely sharp and clear sound, not much noticeable audible crackle at all throughout the tracks, quiet and hardly any noticeable background noise in between tracks, quiet on the run ins and run offs, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, there are one or two barely audible pops/clicks that are noticeable. Excellent Minus sound quality (Playtested 22nd March 2009)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent Minus (there are quite a number of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record but they are definitely not overpowering and are quite scarce, these do not affect playback in any way, there are one or two tiny 0.25cm more feelable hariline scratches on the record and these slightly affect playback by causing the one or two barely audible pops/clicks as mentioned above, there may be some additional light paper traces from the the record being placed in and out of the inner sleeve under bright light but as a rule the record is reasonably clean and not badly marked or played to death, looks to have been played on lots of occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for very well, labels are clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is some noticeable wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the labels, overall an OK copy visually)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good (no major creasing to the front corners, some light creasing to 2 of the 4 rear corners, there is no spine splitting and the spine is clearly legible, there is hardly any spine wear/rubbing, there are no top edge splits, there is no serious wear/rubbing to the top edge, no bottom edge splits and there is no serious wear/rubbing to the bottom edge, slight corner rubbing, no major rips or tears in the sleeve apart from a tiny 0.5cm tear on the very top right of the front sleeve, some slight ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, the sleeve does not suffer from any major or serious laminate lifting or peeling apart from a tiny 1cm portion of lifting on the top left front sleeve, the sleeve suffers from some discolouration/staining on the unlamininated rear, very sturdy sleeve, there are two tiny pin holes on the rear sleeve, overall a decent sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
