Here is your opportunity to own the Safe at Home album from The International Submarine Band. This was the very first and only album for The International Submarine Band. Gram Parsons was eager to make a name for himself in the recording industry, and this was his first band. This album includes some devastatingly beautiful original songs written/performed by Gram Parsons. The tracks Blue Eyes, Luxury Liner, Strong Boy, and Do You Know How it Feels to be Lonesome? were all written by Gram Parsons. This album is an outstanding listen. If you have never heard this album, you owe it to yourself to hear it on vinyl. This is a highly sought after mono promotional copy of this album from 1968. Mono was being completely phased out by 1968, so this truly makes this album a rare treasure indeed. This album continues to grow in value and scarcity as time passes. This particular LP has LHI-12001-A LW as the matrix number etched in the dead wax, on side one. Side two of the LP has LHI-12001-B LW etched on the dead wax. The vinyl is in Very Good Plus/Very Good condition. The LP has some light hairline scratches and paper scuffs on each side. The blemishes cause occasional feedback and background noise. Most of the feedback can be heard at the end/beginning of each side and also between tracks. The playback fidelity is at Very Good Plus or even better. This mono promotional copy was pressed on thick vinyl and the playback is strong. The LP labels are very clean with only a few faint spindle marks on each side. The LP cover is in Excellent Condition. The album cover has just the slightest touch of ring wear on both sides. The back of the cover has some light age spots and one small stain near the top left corner. The seams and spine all have a light amount of wear. The spine has very little wear and it is 100% legible. The top seam has the most wear, but none of the seams are split. All of the corners have some minor rounding. This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve. The jacket will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve. The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts. The LP will be positioned outside of the jacket when shipped. This album is ready for playing or storage.
