Description

Original UK first pressing of The Jam - In The City released in 1977 on Polydor Records (catalogue 2383 447). Vinyl is graded EX with strong gloss and only light surface marks visible under bright light. The record is housed in the original picture sleeve graded VG+ showing some light edge wear and handling but the artwork remains clear and presentable. Labels show the Polydor design with catalogue numbers 2383 447 A and 2383 447 B and runout matrices read A/1 and B/2 indicating an early UK pressing. Produced by Vic Smith and Chris Parry, this debut album captures the raw energy of the early UK punk and mod revival scene led by Paul Weller alongside Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler. A classic late 1970s British punk release featuring the title track In The City and several early Jam favourites.
