Description

Discover the Music calls this set “The Jazz Scene – Most important Album You’ve Never Heard”. This limited edition jazz set was introduced in 1949 at $25 (about $330 in today’s dollars). It not only shared what the pulse of jazz music at the time sounded like, it also shared what it looked like with stunning pictures. Ahead of its time and a precursor of the modern day “box set”, it was unlike anything else.


This set is a lower count at #558/3000. The vinyl is in excellent condition and looks possibly unplayed. The pictures and inserts are in good condition with wear commiserate with its age.


I have been a huge fan of this work and have collected this 78 release as well as the successive 33 and CD releases. These are pictured at the end and are for sale in other auctions.
