MEGA RARE Jesus & Mary Chain Creation poster for a tour undertaken at the end of 1984 before any of the furore the band would cause had caught hold. It was for a European tour with Jasmine Minks headlining and Biff Bang Pow! also on the bill. The image 'borrows' from an old Situationist book. There can be very few of these posters still in existence. The JAMC played the shows and then returned home to find a rave NME review following their show at the Three Johns pub. The rest is history.
The poster measures approx 24" by 16". Although the colours are still vibrant, it is not in the best of shape. There is evidence of previous folding and selotape marks in various places. There is a four-inchish tear to the right of the word giro (which does close up) and there is various bits of mouse-nibbling to the corners. I am told that for a modest amount a restorer could cover over a few of the faults. Alternatively, I suspect the poster would look a lot better if under glass. NOTE: THE PRICE REFLECTS the poster's condition and its incredible rarity.
