During this past decade I have closely observed the ministry of this great Gospe singing group, the Jubilaires Quartet. As a partner with them in sharing th< Good News I highly value my experiences with them during the time I was < member. Recently the Jubilaires appeared on television with one of San Diego’s to| personalities. They were asked if there is sufficient repertoire in Gospel musii for a group to successfully concentrate solely on that field. Don William: accepted this question not only as an occasion to speak about the vast wealtl of current Gospel music, but also as an opportunity to reinforce the clear lim this group has drawn between itself and popular entertainment. Everyoni watching that program heard a positive witness of Jesus Christ. Christian talent has come and gone. But with the constantly changing panoram; of personalities the Jubilaires have retained the same faithful witness of Chris that has increasingly endeared them to the friends of Gospel music. This album is a fine sampling of the variety of good Christian music presentl available. The modern vocal sounds and contemporary background of this lates effort thrill me. As I listened to these songs I laughed with joy; my eyes fille with tears; my feet just couldn’t keep still. And when the tambourine bega its happy accentuation I nearly jumped to my feet with excitement. Seldom hav I felt at once all the things I felt while listening to this album. Whether their appearances take them to the California County Fairs, or on nationwide tour, the Jubilaires present the Lord Jesus Christ in song. In th years I have watched them grow their development has been blessed of Goc They have matured into one of the most outstanding Gospel quartets in Americ today.
