Description
The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society - 1st Press Mono LP.
First mono pressing of this classic album. The vinyls has lots of marks, some feelable. It does however play through without jumps or skips (play tested on Rega Planar 1 turntable).
Surface noise is apparent, particularly in quiet parts between tracks and on the opening bars of Phenomenal Cat, and at times noticeable during Picture Book and Animal Farm but not repetitive or distracting. On the whole it is a solid, satisfying listen and a good addition to a collection. Not just filler.
The label on side 1 is very good, whereas side 2 label looks to have had some water damage or exposure to direct sunlight. Graded Good Plus (G+)
The photos show the condition of the sleeve which.is notoriously flimsy. It is pretty well held together with the only flaws being the heavy scuffing and deterioration on the front cover top left and right (see photo), some creasing and the split in the centre of the spine, although the spine is still quite legible.
A must have in any collection!!
