Description
Up for sale at a low start price is an original 1965 copy of Kinda Kinks, By The Kinks. PYE Records NPL 18112 Mono. This is there second studio album and the first of two releases in 1965.
Sleeve - As is usually the case with this original flip-back sleeves, the rear panel has picked up some dirt over the 59 years its been around. It also has the original owners name and address written in the darker area, so hard to see at first glance, The front panel is like all releases of this era and laminated in 'Clarifoil' so retains a bright glossy sheen, be it with some creases and wear to the corners/edges. Overall, its very solid and complete sleeve with a readable spine.
The inner sleeve - appears to be the original PYE plain 'onion skin' variety and split on a couple of the seams.
Labels - Showing very little spindle wear for a record of this age/era, clean and free from damage, labels, etc, just the original owners name in biro on side 1.
Vinyl - This is the strong point. This record plays really well. No skips or nasty pop and clicks (it will have the odd click and some background crackle between tracks) with the vinyl looking quite shiny bar the usual age related hairline scuffs. Nothing deep, nothing nasty, just cosmetic marks really. I have an AudioTechnica Micro-Linear stylus, which plays this LP really well and picks out lots of detail.

Looks like the first variant of the original pressing.
A pleasant sounding LP, good mono sonics and recorded at a good volume. A nice enough everyday player containing the single 'Tired of Waiting'
