Description
The Kinks - Live At Kelvin Hall
(Pye NPL 8191 UK LP 1967)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve. This has a factory "pinched" top & bottom spine. It comes with its original tracing-paper lined company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has red "Pye" labels. It has 1st press A-1/ B-1 matrix stampers. One of their less common 1960's UK LP's. It sold quite poorly at the time. This is a genuine UK Mono 1st pressing.
Sleeve: There is some mild to more moderate fading to the "white" of the rear sleeve. There is some light, mild or very mild foxing on the rear sleeve on some areas. There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not that noticeable. There is some light, very mild or very minor rippling/ warping at the front sleeve opening on some areas. This, again, is not that noticeable. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. Overall, Very Good condition
Vinyl: Firstly, there is a light or very mild warp. It only really notices when playing Side 2. It hardly notices when playing Side 1. It does not affect playback at all. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some mild, more moderate to moderate speckled dull surface marks on both sides to a varying degree. It is more prevalent on Side 1. There is a very small pin-head sized pressing blob, or bit of dirt in the grooves, near the start of Side 1. This causes 4 or 5 mild clicks. Otherwise, there are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good+ condition. The labels are in Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some mild, more moderate to considerable ringwear, rippling & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. As stated, there are 4 or 5 mild clicks near the start of Side 1. Otherwise, there is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
