Description

This is an original 1969 UK mono pressing of The Kinks – The Kinks (Pye NPL 18326), a 2LP gatefold compilation featuring classic tracks such as "You Really Got Me," "All Day And All Of The Night," "Sunny Afternoon," "Waterloo Sunset," and "Days." Both records have been well cared for, with all four sides grading EX — glossy vinyl surfaces and excellent playback. Housed in the original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated gatefold sleeve, graded VG due to edge wear, light creasing, and notable ring wear front and back. The spine text remains legible. Original blue Pye labels are clean and show light spindle traces. Matrix/runouts are A1, B1, C1, and D2, confirming early UK stampers. Highly sought-after by collectors for its superb analogue mono sound and comprehensive track selection spanning the Kinks’ mid-60s hits. A great opportunity to own a genuine first UK mono pressing in strong condition.
