This EXCELLENT UK 1st STEREO pressing of arguably their finest 1960's album dates from initial November 1968 release.

The disc bears the blue & black Pye records label: NSPL.18233

Matrix numbers: NSPL 18233 A-3 *T & NSPL 18233 B-4 *T

Vinyl weight: 176g

Housed within a UK printed, outer laminated gatefold cover with 'stereo' sticker on the rear panel & original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A superb clean & unfaded pair showing just a handful of barely visible, well-aimed spindle marks around each centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both playing surfaces are perfectly clean and retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine. In fact, apart from one or two light turntable scuffs, the disc is unmarked in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals just a small number of harmless light hairlines & a sparkling rainbow shine. Both side of this heavy disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

This superb sounding copy has received minimal, careful play on good equipment and every track is completely unworn and free from any trace of groove/playwear distortion. My single careful play-check detected no traces of any background crackle or a single clicks, pops or any other distraction. Apart from a hint of low-level vinyl background between tracks, there is nothing to disappoint you.

Cover: EXCELLENT

This impossibly fragile cover is fully intact and in very respectable shape considering its age and delicate construction.

  The thin front leaf is clean & flat with light bends to the right corners & an area of laminate lift in the lower left corner, part of which has split but none is missing. All of the exposed edges are clean with no tears to any side.

The rear panel is just as glossy with a small area of laminate lift in the upper right corner and a tiny 1cm tear in the lower right. However, the often absent 'STEREO NSPL' factory sticker is clean & fully intact. All seams of the rear pocket are unstressed and unsplit.

The inside of the gatefold is 'as new' with bright, unfaded colours.

  The spine is fully worded with slight wear at each end, but all the wording is undamaged.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with one or two gentle gentle storage bends, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
